Lurline A. Hackmann Obituary
Lurline Amelia Hackmann, nee Dieckmann, 95, Columbia, formerly of Benton City, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

Lurline was born July 19, 1922, in Warrenton, the daughter of Gustav Dieckmann and wife Evanda, nee Fuhrer. On June 24, 1945, in Creve Coeur, she married Russell Walter Hackmann. He preceded her in death May 31, 2001.

Lurline farmed with her husband and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mexico, Mo. In their retirement years, Lurline and Russell were members of the local square dance club and enjoyed traveling to square dances around the state.

Lurline is survived by her children, Dale (Georgia) Hackmann, Warrenton, Linda (Mike) Stephenson, Memphis, Mo., Janice Carter, Jonesburg, and Don (Tammy) Hackmann, Mahomet, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Russell, and parents, Lurline was preceded in death by one brother, Lindell Dieckmann.

Visitation is Saturday, June 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico, Mo.

Funeral services will follow, also at the funeral home.

Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, Mexico, Mo.

Memorial donations may be made to the , First Presbyterian Church, or donor's choice, in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
