Marilyn Linker Obituary
Marilyn Linker, nee Shumate, 77, Wright City, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis.

Marilyn, an administration assistant, was born Nov. 8, 1940, in New Florence, the daughter of Virgil Shumate and wife Genevieve. She was united in marriage to Donald Linker Sept. 21, 1986, in Hermann. Marilyn was a member of Sunrise Methodist Church, Wright City. She was a saint; Marilyn had a wonderful personality and enjoyed making people laugh, caring for her grandchildren and was a great cook. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Linker, Wright City; two sons, Chris (Renee) Erbes, Treynor, Iowa, and David Erbes, Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, Kathryn Collins, Wright City; granddaughter, Addison Blechle; grandson, Alexander Craig; sister-in-law, Deb Strobel, Minnesota state; niece, Paula Kiderlen, Rhineland; step-daughter, Deanna Scott; three step-grandchildren, Ruston, Declan and Lynessa; and special friends, Jane Charles and Bonnie Wheeldon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Shumate; mother, Genevieve Shumate; and brother, Bill Schumate.

Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.

A funeral service followed at 2:15 p.m. at New Florence City Cemetery, where she was interred.

Memorials to the , in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
