Marion D. Bothe Obituary
Marion Bothe, nee Drunert, 91, O'Fallon, formerly of Montgomery City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Garden View Care Center, O'Fallon.

Marion was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Warren County, the daughter of Milton F. Drunert and wife Ollie, nee Keithley. She married Ralph Frederick Bothe Feb. 27, 1944, in Warrenton. He preceded her in death July 12, 1995. Marion was a mother and homemaker most of her life, raising her four children and working at the local Western Auto that she and Ralph owned. Marion was a member of Montgomery Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Montgomery City Study Club. She enjoyed hosting ladies canasta card parties in the '50s and belonged to a ladies bridge card group in the late '90s. When Marion and Ralph moved to Montgomery City in 1950 they both became known for their beautiful singing voices, singing in the Methodist Church choir and at various local occasions. She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, large family gatherings, listening to close harmony vocals, big band music, singing with her family and being with her grandchildren. When Ralph retired they spent many years traveling the country in their fifth-wheel camper and many winters in Arizona. Summers were spent in the Mineola area. Marion's family loved her dearly, and will miss her greatly.

She is survived by four children, Patricia Ann Overkamp, Mineola, Daniel Frederick Bothe and wife Sandra, St. Charles, Edward Charles Bothe and wife Karli, Jefferson City, and Judith Bothe Fienup and husband Spencer, St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Matt Overkamp and wife Tammy, Diana Overkamp Weber and husband Mark, Cristina Hall and husband Chris, Laura Hooper and husband Aaron, Madeline Anderson and husband Chris, Cathy Fienup, Shay Smith and husband Nate, and Breanna Cornwell and husband Leslie; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Lix and husband Paul, Warrenton; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Frederick Bothe; parents; son-in-law, Bob Overkamp; one sister, Marjorie Simpson; and two brothers, Fred Drunert and Marvin Drunert.
