Martha J. Lewis, nee Moors, 80, Pacific, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Chesterfield. |
Martha, daughter of the late Clay Moors and wife Marcella, nee Musgrave, was born Aug. 29, 1932, in St. Louis. She received her education from Nerinx Hall, St. Louis. Martha was employed by the Meramec Valley R-III School District as a cook. She was of the Catholic faith.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Marcella Moors; one daughter, Patricia Nelson; and one granddaughter, Christina Lewis.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Hammer and husband Greg, St. Louis, and Clare Cook and fiance Mark Craig, Ballwin; one son, Eddie Lewis, Pacific; seven grandchildren, Chloe Cook, Sarah Craig, Emily Craig, Ashley Hammer, Casey Hammer, Kevin Hammer and Joey Nelson; one cousin, Kay Oslica and husband Steve; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, June 24, at St. James Church, Catawissa, with the Rev. Robert Heimos officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
