Max Wayne Gorrell Jr., 57, Washington, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, in Washington. |
Max, son of Nola, nee Bridges, and Max W. Gorrell Sr., was born May 8, 1956, in Mascoutah, Ill. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
Max was preceded in death by his father, Max W. Gorrell Sr.
He is survived by his mother and best friend, Nola Gorrell, Washington; two children, Dana and Christopher; three siblings, Susan Gorrell, Daniel Gorrell, both of Washington, and Karen Ross and husband David, Riley, Kan.; seven nieces and nephews, Cyndi Ross, Manhattan, Kan., Anthony Ross and wife Rose, Junction City, Kan., Nathan Ross and wife Tiffany, Willard, Joshua Ross and wife Stephanie, Acworth, Ga., Max Wesley Gorrell, Kenneth Phipps and Cody Phipps, all of Washington; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
A memorial service will follow, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be given to St. Peter's Food Pantry or the Franklin County Humane Society.
