Michael D. Hitchcock Obituary
Michael Dean Hitchcock, 52, O'Fallon, formerly of Washington, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at his home.

Michael was born July 6, 1965, to Bea Hitchcock in Washington. He attended school in Washington, and graduated from Washington High School in 1983. Michael enjoyed a successful career at Citigroup as a loan auditor, a position he held for the past five years.

His hobbies included gardening, making candles, cooking and baking. He also enjoyed attending music concerts, shopping at flea markets and visiting local wineries. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His family and friends will forever cherish the many fond memories Michael helped to create and will hold dear the tremendous impact Michael made on their lives. He will always be remembered as a loving father, a devoted son and a caring brother.

Michael is survived by one son, Colen "CJ" Hitchcock and fiancee Ashley Schaefer, Washington; his mother, Bea Naegelin, Washington; one brother, Timothy Naegelin, St. Peters; other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by one uncle, Charles Hitchcock, Mississippi state.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. George Dohm officiating.

Interment followed at the Presbyterian Church of Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward funeral expenses or the Franklin County Humane Society.

The Hitchcock family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington.
