Norma Ulrich Clark Obituary
Norma Clark, nee Ulrich, 92, Columbia, formerly of Bellflower, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Neighborhood in Columbia.

Norma was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Troy, to Jesse Arthur Ulrich and wife Ollie Mae, nee Evans. She graduated from Bellflower High School in 1945 and then attended cosmetology school. Norma was self-employed after obtaining her education, owning her own beauty salon for over 16 years, and then working at a furniture factory for 12 years. She married Selden Leroy "Moose" Clark Dec. 30, 1950, in Wellsville. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 2000. They lived in Wright City for 38 years before moving to Columbia in 1987. Norma was of the Methodist faith and attended Wright City Methodist Church while in Wright City. She was an avid bowler, winning many awards, and always enjoyed being with her friends and family.

Norma is survived by one sister, Louise Ulrich, Columbia; 16 nieces and nephews, Arthur L. Gilbert, Johnnie Gilbert, Kent R. Gilbert, Rick Gilbert, Charlene Cook, Sheryl Hyde, Michael Ulrich, Becky Smith, Pat Ulrich, David Ulrich, Scott Bradley Ulrich, Wayne May, Richard Clark, Carol Clark, Valerie Vogle and Sally Whanger; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Selden; parents; and two sisters, Donna Gilbert and husband John, and Christine Hyde and husband Charles; and one brother, Henry Ulrich.

Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Schlanker Funeral Home, Montgomery City.

Funeral services followed at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Ed Hankinson and Scott Bradley Ulrich officiating.

Interment was at Bellflower Cemetery, Bellflower. Casket bearers included Richard Smith, David Ulrich, Kent Gilbert, Arthur L. Gilbert, Johnnie Gilbert and Rick Gilbert. Honorary casket bearers were Wayne May and Richard Clark.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alumni of Bellflower High School, in care of Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
