Norvin F. "Joe" Maune, 85, Union passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Washington. |
Mr. Maune, son of the late Joseph Maune and wife Barbara, nee Kopp, was born April 8, 1927, in Washington.
On May 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to LaVerne Feldmann at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington.
Joe was employed as a laborer and member of Local 110.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Union.
Mr. Maune was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Maune; brothers, Victor, Omer and Dennis Maune; sisters, Lorraine Jacquin, Loretta Jacquin and Laverne Brautigam.
Among his survivors are his wife LaVerne Maune, Union; two sons, Ernest Maune and wife Laura, California state, and Kevin Maune and wife Jolyn, Villa Ridge; four daughters, Jerene Thiemann and husband Alan, Virginia state, Ardis Maune, Washington state, Ann Rapkic, and LaNor Maune, both of California state; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin Feldmann and wife Dorothy, Mercedes Althen and Marian Maune; seven grandchildren, Chris Maune, Lisa Kuntz and husband Greg, Adam Maune and wife Aimee, Samantha Loepker and husband Nathan, Tiffany Maune and friend Dave Stroud, Nathaniel Thiemann and Josh Walker; two stepgrandchildren, Mary Ellen and Drew Thiemann; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial Mass was held Saturday, Jan. 19, at Immaculate Conception Church with burial in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington. Officiating was Monsignor Matthew Mitas.
Memorials to Immaculate Conception School or Masses are preferred.
The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
