Paul J. Moosmann, 82, Washington, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Washington.|
Mr. Moosmann, the son of the late Paul A. Moosmann and wife Emma, nee Ruediger, was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School.
Mr. Moosmann served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army.
On Feb. 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Beck at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington.
Mr. Moosmann was the district manager for American Family Insurance for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Washington, American Legion 218 and St. Gertrude Church.
Mr. Moosmann was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Moosmann, Washington; son, Terry Moosmann and wife Mary Anne, Washington; sister, Gloria Hohlfelter and husband Gene, Maumelle, Ark.; three grandchildren, Andrew Moosmann and friend Danyle, Abby Moosmann and husband Will Young and Alex Moosmann; great-grandchild, Drew Moosmann; other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Gertrude Church with Monsignor Mike Turek officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorials to the St. Francis Borgia Regional High School Athletic Association or St. Gertrude Church are preferred.
Arrangements were made in care of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
