Ramona R. Kruse, nee Stuber, 76, Washington, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington. Ramona, daughter of the late Roy Stuber and wife Ruth, nee Schneider, was born April 14, 1937, in St. Joseph. She was united in marriage to Frederick E. Kruse Aug. 22, 1959, at Hope Church, Cosby. |
Ramona graduated from Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wis., with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education. Ramona taught elementary school in Nebraska. When the family moved to Missouri, she worked at Monsanto until she was ready to retire in 2000 and spend time with her grandchildren. She also was an accomplished organist, often playing at churches.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Stuber; and one sister, Martha Stuber.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick E. Kruse, Washington; two sons, Timothy F. Kruse and wife Diana Messer-Kruse of Toledo, Ohio, and Mike C. Kruse and wife Kelly, Washington; two brothers, Daniel Stuber and Stan Stuber, both of St. Joseph; four sisters, Elaine Epps and husband the Rev. Gordon, Enid, Okla., Marilynn Burns, West Des Moines, Iowa, Shirley Taylor and husband Richard, St. Joseph, and Karen Yount and husband Terry, Chesterfield; nine grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Washington.
Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be given to the
or Lakeland College.
