Rob Cowsert Jr. Obituary
Rob Cowsert Jr., 53, Villa Ridge, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, in Chesterfield.

Rob, son of Robert Cowsert Sr. and wife Connie, nee Carey, was born Aug. 27, 1964, in Washington. On June 25, 1983, he was united in marriage to Deanna DeWitt, in Robertsville.

Rob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army until receiving an honorable discharge in 1988. He was employed at Baxter Gardens of Chesterfield as a service technician. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, especially Texas Hold 'em. Most of all, he was a dedicated deer hunter. Rob especially loved his grandchildren. They referred to him as PaPa Dork.

Ron is survived by his wife, Deanna Cowsert, Villa Ridge; three sons, Robby Cowsert and wife Juliana, Union, Randy Cowsert and wife Tara, Gray Summit, and Dustin Cowsert, Hawaii state; his mother, Connie Cowsert, Robertsville; one brother, John Cowsert, St. Clair; two sisters, Barbie Suiter and husband Matt, Richwoods, and Dee Cowsert, Catawissa; three grandchildren, Callie, Kinsley and Remington; his mother-in-law, Carolyn DeWitt, Union; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cowsert Sr.; one uncle, Mike Carey; and his father-in-law, Jerry DeWitt.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union, with services following at 6 p.m.
