Robert Goza Obituary
Robert "Bob" Goza, 77, Beaufort, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.

Bob, son of the late Edward W. Goza and wife Florence, nee Kieffer, was born May 9, 1941, in St. Louis. He received his schooling in St. Louis. Bob was united in marriage to Margaret "Peggy" Friebus in St. Louis, in 1963. They made their home in St. Louis and moved to Beaufort in 1975.

In his early years, Bob served as a Brentwood police officer for a few years. He then went back to school to become a broadcast engineer, and worked for KMOV Channel 4 for many years. Bob was an amateur ham^radio operator, and his call sign was "W^BOB." Bob served as treasurer for the Society of Broadcast Engineers for 30 years, and he was a lifetime member of ZERO-Beaters Amateur Radio Club, holding several offices over the years. Bob had a passion for DX-ing (long-distance communications to other countries.)

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, Jan. 5, 2007, and his parents.

He is survived by many friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Antioch Christian Church, 6913 Hwy. CC, Leslie.
