Robert "Bob" Hayden Cook, 83, Warrenton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.|
Bob was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Wright City, the son of the late William R. Cook and wife Lillian.
During his working years, Bob was employed as an iron worker. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 396, Lions Club, Wright City, for 40 years, Pauldingville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and Wright City School District School Board. Bob also was past president of the Wright City Khoury League and an alderman for the city of Wright City.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and flew 55 missions over Korea as a gunner on a B-26.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dode" Cook, Warrenton; one son, Jeffrey Hayden (Cathy) Cook, Bakersfield, Calif.; one daughter, Lynn Marie (Joe) Gmeiner, Warrenton; two sisters, Phyllis Gentry and Jewel Coleman, both of Warrenton; one grandson, Josh Gmeiner; two granddaughters, Lindsey and Landrey Cook; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, William H. "Bill" Cook.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton.
A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.

The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
