Robert Lee Gordon Sr., 64, Union, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in Union.|
Mr. Gordon was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Washington, the son of the late Elmer Gordon and wife Maxine, nee Crider.
He graduated from Union High School in 1967. On Jan. 27, 1968, Mr. Gordon was united in marriage to Judith McCallister at Nazarene Church, Union.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971.
Mr. Gordon was employed at Moss-Dickens, Union, for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gordon, Union; two sons, Robert Gordon Jr., Union, and Gregory Gordon and special friend Samantha Randall, Sullivan; three grandchildren, Daniel Gordon and special friend Brittany Hawkins, Union, Brittany Gordon and special friend Jason Hale and Jessica Gordon, all of Potosi; two great-grandchildren, Allison Marie and Kayden Scott; two brothers, Gene Gordon and David Gordon, both of Union; one sister, Debb Crawford, Union; other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Maxine Gordon; and one brother, Kenneth Gordon.
A funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 28, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, with the Rev. Tim Cole officiating.
Burial was in Midlawn Cemetery, Union.
