Rosemary Bocklage, 90, Union, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.|
She was born March 8, 1922, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Oscar Schneiderhahn and wife Stella, nee Honzik.
Rosemary received her education in St. Louis, and earned her bachelor's degree from Webster University.
She was united in marriage to Leander Bocklage Sept. 4, 1950, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, St. Louis. The couple made their home in Union.
Rosemary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Altar Sodality, and a Cub Scout leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leander Bocklage; parents; and one brother, Ernest Schneiderhahn.
Rosemary is survived by two sons, Michael Bocklage and wife Theresa and Tim Bocklage, all of Washington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Union, with Monsignor Matthew Mitas officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the New Haven Care Center Activity Fund or Immaculate Conception School are preferred.
