Ruth Frieda Czeschin Terschluse, 82, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Victorian Manor, Washington.

She was born May 25, 1930, in Washington, the daughter of Gustave A. Czeschin and wife Ella, nee Peters.
Ruth attended Washington public schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1948.
On April 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to John "Buxie" Terschluse at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, and they made their home in Washington. A son and a daughter were born to this union.
Ruth was a bookkeeper most of her adult life. She also received her real estate license and her insurance license and sold both for many years. She co-owned Buxie's Auto Sales and helped Buxie in the Mustang repair business. Ruth was an active member of the Washington V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Ladies and Washington Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buxie Terschluse; parents, Gustave and Ella Czeschin; and one brother, Earl Czeschin.
Ruth is survived by one son, Jeff Terschluse and wife Jill, New Haven; one daughter, Janalee Hurst and husband Jim, Linn Creek; three grandsons, Jake and Justin Terschluse, New Haven, and James "Buck" Hurst, Linn Creek; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Washington.
Memorials may be made to Kids' Harbor, a child advocacy center in Osage Beach, Mo., or the Washington Historical Society.
