Sharon Rose Devine, nee Eichhorn, 73, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at her home in Union. |
Sharon, daughter of the late Arthur Eichhorn and wife Loretta, nee Bockius, was born Oct. 1, 1939, in St. Louis. She received her education in St. Louis. She was united in marriage to Mr. James Devine June 10, 1961, at St Peter's Catholic Church, Kirkwood. They made their home in Ballwin and moved to Union in 2007. Sharon was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Union, and a volunteer at St. Vincent Angels thrift shop.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Loretta Eichhorn.
She is survived by her husband, James Devine, Union; one son, Michael Devine and wife Patricia, Columbia; one daughter, Kathleen P. Schoor and husband Scott, Villa Ridge; six grandchildren, Jeremy Schoor, Andrew Devine, Clare Devine, Steven Devine, Anna Devine and Adelaide Devine; one brother-in-law, John Devine and wife Barbara, Union; and one sister-in-law, Sarah Freeman and husband Ed, Union.
Visitation was held at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, Monday, March 11, from 4 to 8 p.m.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Union, with Monsignor Matthew Mitas officiating.
