Stephen C. "Duke" Miller Obituary
Stephen Craig Miller, known to all as Duke, 68, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at his home in Park Hills.

Duke was born Aug. 27, 1949, in St. Louis. He was the son of Richard and Vinetta, nee Johnson, West, of Pacific. He was united in marriage July 18, 1975, to the love of his life, Connie. They were married for 42 years. Duke was known for his great sense of humor and his passion for cooking. He was a master chef. He could do anything from roofing a house to preparing you a superior meal. He loved fishing, camping, history and Cardinals baseball. His greatest love was his family, and they truly loved him. His grandchildren played a significant role in his life, and he loved them to the moon and back. He will be missed greatly.

Duke is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Stephen (Michelle) Miller, and Stephanie (Alan) Eckenfels; siblings, Dixie (Alan) Wood, Mike (Judy) Miller, Belinda West-Nantz, and Rita (JP) Myers; grandchildren, Destiny McMahon, Samantha Miller, Zoie Thompson, Crystale (Justin) Johnson, Monica Wilson, Jamie Eckenfels, Stephen Nantz and Daniel Nantz; great-grandchildren, Kameron Wilson and Chelsea Moff; special friends, Dave and Tami Pich, Tim and Nancy Rongey, and Shawn Burbank; plus many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Jay Miller; his grandson, Stephen Anthony Eckenfels; his parents, Richard and Vinetta West (Ralph Miller); and one sister, Myrna Miller.

At his request, no funeral service was held.

His cremation was provided by Coplin Funeral Home, Park Hills.
