Sue Hamilton, nee Oehlert, 79, St. Louis, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, in Washington.|
Sue, daughter of the late Harold Oehlert and his wife, Viola, nee Wotli, was born Aug. 29, 1933 in St. Louis. Sue received her education in St. Louis. Sue was united in marriage to Robert Hamilton at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Des Peres. in 1968. The couple made their home in Union.
Sue was employed at the Franklin County Assessor's office for 12 years. She was later employed part time at U.S. Bank in Washington. Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1999.
She is survived by one son, Bill Nissen and wife Nilda, Nebraska state; two daughters, Gail Jacobs and husband Mike, St. Clair, and Bobbie Meyer and husband Brad of Union; six grandchildren, Logan, Sydney and Haiden Meyer, April and Ivy Nissen, and Krysta PorterLott; one sister, Jackie Robertson, St. Louis; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 14, at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union, with Pastor Kriete officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union.
