Susan A. Allen Obituary
Susan Anita Allen, known to all as Sue, nee Lottes, 78, departed this life Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at her home in Lonedell.

Sue was born Sept. 1, 1939, in St. Louis, the daughter of Donald Edward Lottes and wife Amelia Erna, nee Schierioth. As a young woman, she was united in marriage and blessed to have two daughters. On Jan. 20, 1979, she was united in marriage to Noah Eugene Allen, and they were blessed with a son, and she accepted Noah's children into her family.

Sue was a devout Christian, faithfully believing in the Lord as her Savior. For many years, she and Noah hosted Bible studies in their home. During her working career, she was employed as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in St. Louis. Sue also worked as a certified nurse's assistant at Cedarcrest Manor in Washington. She loved to work in her garden and bake cookies and cakes. Sue had a caring spirit and a keen sense of humor too. What meant most to her was time spent with her family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

Sue is survived by her children, Rebecca DuBuque and companion Hilda Gadis, Lonedell, Janna deLeon, Bells, Texas, and Daniel Allen and life companion, Cathy Dierker, Lonedell; her sister, Donna Williams and husband Kenneth, Whitesboro, Texas; six grandchildren, Riki Allen, Tony DuBuque and girlfriend Anndreya, all of Lonedell, Lindsay Newbanks and boyfriend Tom, High Ridge, Kayleigh Murphy and husband Mike, St. Clair, and Beth and John deLeon, both of Marshfield; five great-grandchildren, Connor, Elijah, Braedy, Josephine and Emersyn; her stepchildren, Pauletta Esparza Villegas, De Soto, and Lonnie Allen, Cedar Hill; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; and many friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Allen, and her parents, Donald and Amelia Lottes.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. John Dantico officiating.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair.

Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
