Thomas Whitworth Obituary
Thomas Ray "Bubba" Whitworth, Louisville, Texas, formerly of Pacific, was born the son of Ellis Ray and Hazel Alice (Stuhlmann) Whitworth on July 13, 1950, in Washington, Missouri, and departed this life on December 15, 2012, at his sister's home in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 62 years.

He is survived by three children, Melissa Stokes of Newberry, Florida, SSG Matthew Whitworth and wife, Miranda of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Amanda Stewart and husband, Casey of Ocala, Florida; seven grandchildren, Brayden, Will and Ryan Stokes, and Haili, Johnathon, Mattilyn and Noah Whitworth; two sisters, Jan Whitworth of Thayer, Missouri, and Laurie Doyle and husband, Randy of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Bill Whitworth and wife, Sharon of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Hazel Whitworth; and one nephew, Dustin.

Tom became a Junior Fireman in Pacific, Missouri, while in junior high. He graduated from Pacific High School with the class of 1968. He served in the Missouri National Guard and became the first paid Fire Chief in Pacific. He fell in love with fire trucks and started a new career selling and helping to design them. He made many friends while working in the business and earned the nickname "Bubba" while selling fire trucks for FMC and E/ONE in Florida. He went on to become Director of Marketing for Hall-Mark Fire Apparatus in Texas. Bubba is now co-pilot in the most grand fire truck in heaven. Hail to the Chief!

He enjoyed bowling in his earlier years and spent many happy times at "Grandpa's Creek."

He was a member of the Cattawissa Protestant Church. He will be remembered by his family as a loving father, grandfather and brother and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
