Vera M. Aehle Obituary
Vera Mae (Millikan) Aehle, 91, Washington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in Washington.

Vera was born May 29, 1922, to Ralph and Virginia (Shelton) Millikan of Montgomery County, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Harter; parents, Ralph and Virgina Millikan; one sister, Juanita Morris; and one brother, Ralph Millikan Jr. Vera graduated from Bellflower and Montgomery City High Schools. She worked in St. Louis at the Army Motion Picture Service during World War II, and later at the Missouri Division of Family Services in St. Louis County as a clerk typist. She married Carl Harter Aehle in 1947, and to this union four children were born, Ernest Charles (Sheila) Aehle, Judith Ann (Andy) Weiskoff, Jane Virginia (John) Bugele and Michael Ray (Sandra) Aehle. She enjoyed her four grandchildren, Emily (Aaron) Bounds, Adam Bugele, Sarah Jane and Michael Carl Aehle, and one great-grandson, Carl Hudson Bounds. Vera and Carl were lifetime members of Disciple of Christ and Christian churches, and later of Presbyterian Church, Washington, where the services were held Tuesday, Jan. 7, with the Rev. Patrick Gruber officiating.

Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

She leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial donations may be given to the Presbyterian Church, or Loving Hearts Outreach, both of Washington.
