Walter L. Coble Obituary
Walter Leslie Coble was born Oct. 17, 2014, in St. Louis, and was the son of Kyle Coble and wife Sarah Pinnell Coble. He passed away peacefully in St. Louis Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, in his mother's arms, surrounded by the family he loved and who loved him so much. Walter was 3 years old.

He had a very rare chromosomal condition that effected many systems of his body. He enjoyed bright vivid and contrasting colors. Red was his favorite color. Music calmed Walt. He responded to Mozart, Beck, and especially tunes by the Beatles. A favorite Beatles' song, "I Will," was shared at his memorial service. Walter liked to seek out tactile sensations. He liked to feel squishy Play-Doh, soft blankets and cuddly stuffed animals. Walt liked snuggles in his favorite cuddle chair. He liked to be read to. His daddy just finished reading The Hobbit to him while in the hospital.

Walter touched the lives of all who met him. He passed on a life-changing message of living in the moment and enjoying so many things we take for granted. He found enjoyment and pleasure in the simple beauty of God's world around him: gentle summer breezes on his face, blades of green grass between his fingertips, cool swimming pool water on his little tummy, gentle finger brushes through his long light reddish hair, soft forehead kisses, tickles and hugs from his sisters, the silly nonsensical sounds of rhyming in Dr. Seuss books, and always the voices of his caring family who wrapped him in their love. A part of each of us went with Walter the day God called him home.

Walt was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Ruth Beckmann, and great-grandpa, Edwin Mount.

He is survived by his parents, Kyle and Sarah Coble, Florissant; three sisters, Claire, Grace and Sophia Coble, all of Florissant; two sets of grandparents, Mary and Steve Coble and Jane and Jon Pinnell, all of Union; one aunt and uncle, Laura and Ryan Bailey, Union; four cousins, Mason, Cooper, Hudson and Phoebe Bailey, all of Union; many other relatives and friends.

Both the Coble and Pinnell families would like to thank the many people who lifted Walt to God with their gifts of prayers, love and support.

A memorial service and green burial were held for Walter Friday, Aug. 31, at Bellfontaine Cemetery, St. Louis, with the Rev. Jacquelyn Tyler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward projects being set up in Walt's memory. Contributions can be made at www.gofundme.com/61lwhl4 or via PayPal at [email protected]
