Wandalee Tolliver, nee Payne, 83, Warrenton, was surrounded by her loving family as she passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at her home. |
She was born to Hubert Tolliver and wife Gertie, nee Maness, Sept. 22, 1929, in St. Louis.
Wandalee was united in marriage to the Rev. Phillip Tolliver May 18, 1947, at Central Baptist Church, Eureka. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing in July of 2003.
Wandalee worked at Nieburg-Paul Funeral Home and then Nieburg-Martin Funeral Home as a funeral director from 1972 to 1987. She was a piano teacher as well as a homemaker. Wandalee loved playing the piano. She also adored all of her grandchildren.
Wandalee is survived by one daughter, Sara Beth Jakul and husband Mark, Warrenton; three sons, David Tolliver and wife Myra, Jefferson City, Stephen Tolliver and wife Lynn, Marthasville, and Paul Tolliver and wife Kim, Warrenton; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Tolliver; parents, Hubert and Gertie Tolliver; one son, Phillip L. Tolliver; and one sister, Juanita Payne.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., also at Martin Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Warrenton City Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Oak Grove Baptist Church, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, or A.L.S. Association, in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, MO 63383.
