Wayne D. Carroll Jr., 53, St. Clair, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Union. |
Wayne, son of the late Wayne Carroll Sr. and wife Sharon, nee Klenke, was born March 9, 1961, in Washington. Wayne received his education in Union, and graduated from Union High School. He was united in marriage to Linda Schroeder Oct. 15, 1994, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Washington. They made their home in St. Clair. Wayne worked as a cook, truck driver for Archway Kitchen and Bath, and most recently as a security guard. He was active in the history of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Cemetery, and was serving as president.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda Carroll, St. Clair; one son, Charlie Kavanaugh and wife Jaime, St. Clair; one sister, Wendy Griffin and husband David, Union; two brothers, Bill Carroll and wife Anne, and Dean Carroll and wife Ellen, all of Union; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Sr. and Sharon Carroll.
A funeral service was held at at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, with the Rev. Mike Bone officiating.
Interment followed in New Bethel Cemetery, Bland.
Memorials may be given to the family or the New Bethel Cemetery fund.
