1938 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
William "Bill" Gerald McKenzie, 80, Warrenton, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home.

Bill, a glass and cabinet maker, was born Feb. 23, 1938, in St. Louis, the son of William Nelson McKenzie and wife Mabel Irene, nee Woolsey. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Warrenton, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bill, aka "Mr. Wonderful," was an amateur comedian, enjoyed restoring antique cars, boating, camping, Western movies, '50s music and being outdoors among the trees. He was willing to help anyone. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, cousin, nephew and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Janice McKenzie, nee Burger, Warrenton; five children, Tamura (Larry) Joyce, New Florence, Pamela (Timothy) Brown, Daniel (Donna) McKenzie, Kimberly (Stephen) Knitting and William N. (Terry) McKenzie II, all of Warrenton; 12 grandchildren, D.J., Katie, Robert, Aidan, Tony, Travis, Andy, Jamie, Misty, Cory, Jordan and Trevor; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, William McKenzie; mother, Mabel Irene McKenzie; and two sisters, Jeri Dolland and Sally Burkhardt.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, from 2:30 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Warrenton.

Interment will follow at Warrenton City Cemetery, Warrenton.
