Erma G. Sullivan, nee Payne, 69, Union, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014.|
Erma, daughter of the late Herman Payne and wife Marion, nee Witt, was born July 26, 1944, in Sullivan. She received her education in Sullivan. She was united in marriage to Richard Sullivan Aug. 26, 1962, in St. Clair. The couple made their home in Union. Erma was employed at Spartan Showcase and Enduro Binders until 1995. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Union.
Erma is survived by her husband, Richard Sullivan, Union; six sons, Mark Sullivan and wife Christine, Springfield, Michael Sullivan and wife Violet, Puxico, David Sullivan and wife Stephany, Eric Sullivan and wife Bambi, Scotty Sullivan and wife Laura, all of Union, and Patrick Sullivan and fiancee Jennifer Scarborough, New Haven; five daughters, Stephanie Hayes and husband Jason, Michelle Mendenhall and husband Jimmie, Sonia Fischer and husband Robert, all of Union, Pamala Neier and husband Shawn, Beaufort, and Kerry Fuller and husband Stephen, Owensville; 38 eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Sullivan; one daughter, Yvone Sullivan; parents, Herman and Marion Payne; one brother, Herman Payne and stepfather, George Loverich.
A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Immaculate Conception Church, Union, with Monsignor Matthew Mitas officiating.
Burial followed in Midlawn Cemetery, Union.
