Frieda F. Berg, nee Kandlbinder, 94, Washington, passed away Sunday March 23, 2014, in Washington.|
Frieda, daughter of the late Frank Kandlbinder and wife Margaret, nee Busen, was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Washington. She was baptized, confirmed and received her education from St. Francis Borgia Church and School. She was united in marriage to Ambrose "Macky" Berg Jan. 3, 1942, at St. Francis Borgia Church. After their marriage, they were engaged in farming in the Dutzow area. Frieda was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Dutzow.
Frieda is survived by one sister, Juanita Lauchstaedt, Washington; one brother, Clarence Kandlbinder, Washington; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose "Macky" Berg, in 1968; parents, Frank and Margaret Kandlbinder; and seven siblings, Herbert Kandlbinder, Alfred Kandlbinder, Raymond Kandlbinder, Margaret Berliner, Agnes Rott, Hilda Jaeger and Clara Kandlbinder.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, March 26, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Eugene Robertson officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Cedarcrest Manor Activity Fund.
The Berg family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
