1932 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Betty Lou Huff Ping, nee Ramey, 82, St. Clair, departed this life Monday, April 14, 2014, in St. Clair.

Betty, daughter of the late Clyde Raymond Ramey and wife Freda Marie, nee King, was born Feb. 22, 1932, in St. Louis. She was united in marriage to Eugene Harry Huff, known to all as Sandy, July 7, 1951, and was blessed to have two children. She was united in marriage to Marshall "Ray" Ping Feb. 26, 2000.

Betty was a devoted Christian, and current member of First Baptist Church, St. Clair. In past years, she attended Mount Zion Baptist Church, as well as Lighthouse Baptist Church, both in St. Clair. During her working years, Betty served as office manager and secretary at St. Clair Dairy, which she and Sandy owned. In later years, the company was known as Sealtest Dairy and lastly as Pevely Dairy. Betty enjoyed many hobbies and interests during her life, but she especially liked playing cards with her friends. Crocheting was one of her hobbies, and many of her handmade items will be treasured as family keepsakes. Spending time in her yard and mowing her grass gave her great pleasure. Nothing made her happier than the time spent with her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by one son, Mark Huff, Lake Ozark; one daughter, Melinda Huff, St. Clair; six grandchildren, Timothy Arnette II, St. Louis, Matthew Huff and wife Kari, New Haven, Julie Rae Huff, Gerald, Andrew Jackson II and wife Sarah, St. Clair, Neil Huff and wife Kristy, Camdenton, and Navy E2 Isaiah Huff and wife Kaitlin, Lake Ozark; one brother, Gary Ramey and wife Pat, Freeport, Ill.; dear friend, Jim Shankle, St. Clair; eight great-grandchildren; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Betty was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene Harry "Sandy" Huff and Marshall "Ray" Ping; parents, Clyde Raymond and Freda Marie Ramey; one brother, Hubert Ramey; and three sisters, Helen Smith, Zelma Keenright and Mary Emmons.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Joe Murray and the Rev. Cliff Day officiating.

Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lonedell.

Memorials may be given to Oak Grove Cemetery, Lonedell.
