Megan A. Willoughby Obituary
Megan Anne Elizabeth Willoughby, nee Piper, 33, Salem, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her home.

Megan, daughter of Bill Sanson and wife Cheryl, nee Piper, was born July 28, 1980, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Willoughby Nov. 24, 2009, in Union. She received her schooling at Pacific High School, and graduated in 1998. In her spare time, Megan enjoyed fishing, camping at Maramec Springs, and frequenting yard sales. She had an art for making crafts, and recently ventured into crafts using pink camo. She treasured her nieces and nephews, as they were a big part of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Willoughby, Salem; parents, Bill and Cheryl Sanson, Villa Ridge; four sisters, Amber Sanson-Reed and husband Cody, Christy Clark and fiance Mike Dennings, Mandy Longgrear and husband Joel, all of Villa Ridge, and Kaylyn Steele, California state; one brother, Tim Sanson and wife Megan, St. Clair; grandparents, Clyde and Barb Piper, Iowa state; two nieces, Brooklyn Daines and Kaydance Sanson-Reed; numerous other nieces and nephews; five aunts, Crystal Hopwood, Chris Smith, Charlene McCoy, all of Iowa state, Melonie Nance and husband Dennis, and Ladonna Steffens and husband Frank, all of Washington; one uncle, Paul Wayne Pryor, Tennessee state; one brother-in-law, Eric Willoughby and wife Jennifer, Houston, Mo.; numerous cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Megan was preceded in death by her grandmother, Charlotte Piper; great-grandparents, Margarett and Elmer Cline; great-great-grandmother, Margarett Conley; one aunt, Beverly Freeman; and two uncles, Jerry Postlewaite and Tim Hopwood.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Ison officiating.

Interment was at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for the benefit of Megan's niece, Brooklyn, to help provide her with a service dog.
