Joseph Benjamin Young, 102, Washington, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in Rolla.|
Joseph, son of the late Willard Osborn Young and wife Addie Jane, nee Ramsey, was born July 26, 1911, in St. Louis. Joseph served his country in the U.S. Army, from March 26, 1943 to March 15, 1946. He was united in marriage to Wilma Louise Biermann Aug. 1, 1954. Joseph was a retired policeman with the Richmond Heights Police Department. He was a member of Casco United Methodist Church.
Joseph is survived by one daughter, Donna Harubin, Lake George, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Ann D'Alessandro, New York state, Laura Chandia, Utah state, and Mark Harubin, Vermont state; nine great- grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Young; and three siblings, Osbond Young, Ethel Rosner and Sadie Hoffmann.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Casco Methodist Church.
Burial was in Midlawn Cemetery, Union.
Memorials may be given to Casco Methodist Church.
The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington.
