Anna Marie Shilharvey, nee Peitzmann, 83, Warrenton, was called home to her Eternal Father Friday, June 6, 2014, at her home, surrounded by family.|
Marie was born March 29, 1931, in Moscow Mills, to Ernie Peitzmann and wife Ethel, nee Thornhill. She married Robert E. Shilharvey April 22, 1950. Bob and Marie spent 64 wonderful years together and raised a family of four children, Mike, Gail, Danny and Joe.
Marie was known for her outgoing and generous spirit, and was a devoted wife, mother, friend and neighbor. She was a homemaker and attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, and also was involved in St. Ann's Sodality and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2180. Marie enjoyed life to the fullest, bringing to everyone a great sense of wit and humor. She loved being with her grandchildren, and other family and friends, playing cards, dancing and quilting.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Ethel; one son, Danny; and one sister, Elnora Detweiler.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bob, Warrenton; two sons, Mike and wife Nancy and Joe, all of Warrenton; and one daughter, Gail Freeman and husband Dan, Warrenton; one daughter-in-law, Suzanne Shilharvey, St. Paul; four grandchildren, Erica, Megan, Audrey and Charlie; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Marie was lovingly cared for by Ann Carr, and the family is grateful for Ann's devoted friendship.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Warrenton.
