Frank B. James Jr., 83, Ellisville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, with his family at his side.|
Frank was born Nov. 27, 1930, to Frank James Sr. and wife Jewell, nee Maynard, in Peculiar. After high school, he was drafted in the U.S. Army, where he was a private 2nd Class MP. Frank was employed as a ready mix driver for Breckenridge Material, Webster Groves, for 37 years. He also was a member of the Teamsters Union 682.
Frank was married to Edna Schwerdt May 19, 1951. They spent 63 years of marriage together. The couple had two children, Marty and Pam.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his son and grandsons working on old cars. He also loved the time he spent in the country and traveling to the beach. Frank was the happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jewell James Sr.; and two sisters.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Edna James; one son, Marty James and wife Sue; one daughter, Pamela Lewis and husband Mark; five grandchildren, Jeffery, Jennifer, Jordan, Jamie and Michelle; four great- grandchildren, William, Sabrina, Gregory and Otto; beloved nephew, Sean; numerous other nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation was held Sunday, June 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 30, at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.
