Joan Marie Forster, 71, Warrenton, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital.|
She was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Anthony Angelo Romano and wife Catherine Bridget, nee Lawless. Joan was united in marriage to Tom Forster April 14, 1962, in Chicago, Ill. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, since 1976, and was involved in Holy Rosary CRHP. Joan worked in an accounting office for Union 76 Truck Stop, Foristell, which is now TA, and as the secretary for Holy Rosary School. She also was a housewife and mother who enjoyed spending time making ceramics, flower arranging and helping in wedding planning.
Joan is survived by her husband, Thomas Forster, Warrenton; one daughter, Christina Marie (Scott Michael Baker) Baker; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Bridget (Harry) Rapp, Jean (Joseph) Stanton, Maureen (James) Forhan and Kathleen (Ronald) Martin; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Boysen (the late William Boysen) and Marion (Theodore) Garcia; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Elizabeth) Forster and Raymond (Sandra) Forster; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Catherine Romano; father- and mother-in-law, Philip Charles and Doranne Virginia Forster; one brother, Joseph Romano (surviving, Sue Romano); one sister, Tony Kay Pulley (surviving, John Pulley); and one brother-in-law, Philip (Dorothy) Forster.
Visitation was held Monday, June 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorials to the Kidney Foundation, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
