Charlene Schatz Obituary
Charlene Schatz, nee Glaser, 89, Washington, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in Washington.

Charlene was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Chesterfield. Charlene's great love for her family was evident in everything she did. Her smile was always present, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Charlene was the beloved wife of almost 70 years to Wally Schatz; loving mother of Perry (Joyce) Schatz, Patti (Rick) Siefert, and the late Charles Schatz; dear Granny to Leslie (Mark) Schneider, Steven (Jenny) Schatz, Ryan (Darla) Schatz, Jay (Mindy) Siefert, Todd (Hilary) Siefert, Nathan (Jodie) Schatz, Matt (Amy) Schatz, and Elizabeth Schatz; great-grandmother of 12; dear sister of Donald (Monte) Glaser, Mary (Gus) Gyaki, and the late Harold Glaser; mother-in-law of Beki Schatz; and sister-in-law of Wanda Glaser. She also was a much loved aunt, cousin and dear friend.

A memorial service will be held at St. John United Church of Christ, Manchester, 332 Sulphur Spring Road, Manchester, Saturday, July 19, at 2 p.m.

Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

There will be a reception immediately following the burial in the church fellowship hall, where light refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John U.C.C., Manchester.
