Bridget K. Ravas Obituary
Bridget Kathleen Ravas, nee Weimar, 56, Labadie, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in Pacific.

Bridget, daughter of the late Edward Ronald Weimar Sr. and wife Evelyn, nee Davidson, was born June 29, 1958, in St. Louis. As a young woman, she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Ravas Jr., and three sons came to bless this union. In recent years, she was sharing her life with her best friend and companion, Joe Emory.

Bridget was a Christian believing in her Lord as Savior, and was raised in the Catholic faith. She pursued her education, obtaining an associate degree. She was employed as a retail sales associate in many industries. Bridget was an outgoing person with a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed camping especially with her family, and these trips usually involved fishing. She loved gardening, attending sporting events with family, and cooking. She was happiest when her family was gathered around her table. Bridget was a very compassionate and caring individual who always put the feelings of others before her own. Each of her children held a special place in her heart, just as she did in theirs.

Bridget is survived by three sons, Joseph C. Ravas III and girlfriend, Leslie Schwend, Eric Ravas, all of St. Louis, and Michael Ravas and wife Kirsten, Cincinnati, Ohio; companion, Joe Emory, Labadie; one brother, Edward R. Wiemar Jr., Union; two sisters, Deborah Ingram and husband Garry, Forsyth, and Carolyn Prunty and husband Kevin, Sullivan; former husband and friend, Joseph C. Ravas Jr., St. Louis; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Bridget was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Sr. and Evelyn Weimar.

A memorial visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
