Patricia J. Poeschel Obituary
Patricia Jane Poeschel, nee Maness, 82, St. Clair, departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in St. Clair.

Patricia, daughter of the late Ford Wilson Maness and wife Marjorie Belle, nee Lollar, was born March 8, 1932, in St. Louis. She was united in marriage to Rudolph Ernest Poeschel Sr. Jan. 1, 1955, and three children came to bless this union.

Patricia was a Christian, and lifelong member of First Baptist Church, St. Clair. She was active in the Women's Missionary Union and very active in Sunday school. In recent years, she enjoyed going to the St. Clair Senior Center and visiting with her many friends at the center. She made caring for her home and family her career in life, and she never tired of her job. Patricia had a variety of hobbies and interest throughout her life including, playing bingo and watching her favorite shows on television. She had a keen sense of humor, and she managed to keep her household happy.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Rudolph Ernest Poeschel Sr., St. Clair; one son, Rudolph E. Poeschel Jr., known to all as Rudy, St. Clair; two daughters, Marjorie Poeschel, and Patricia Baker and husband Richard, all of St. Clair; two brothers, Lee Maness, Orlando, Fla., and Forrest Maness, St. Clair; two grandchildren, Matthew Baker and wife Michelle, Ballwin, and Kelly Baker, Springfield; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Marjorie Maness; three brothers, Ford Maness Jr., Harry Maness and Jim Maness; and infant sister, Glee Maness

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church, St. Clair, with the Rev. Cliff Day officiating.

Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, St. Clair.

The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
