Donald F. Frankenberg

Donald F. Frankenberg, 76, Washington, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012.

Mr. Frankenberg was born July 3, 1935, in Washington, the son of the late Fred Frankenberg and wife Louise, nee Manhart.

He married Willetta Luehr June 13, 1959, at St. Anthony's Church, Sullivan. He worked for International Shoe and later for Mid-American Coaches as a mechanic specializing in air conditioners.

Mr. Frankenberg was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Louise Frankenberg; three brothers, Norman Frankenberg, Jerome Frankenberg and James Frankenberg; and one sister, Esther Unnerstall.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky Tobben and husband Alfred, Villa Ridge, Donna Hillermann and husband Bob and Karen Brinkmann and husband Bill, all of Washington, and Mary Winkels and husband Travis, Labadie; his grandchildren, Monica, Ben, Esther, Donald, William, David, Sarah, Lucas, Colin and Vivian; his great-grandchildren, Gwendelyn, Max, Beatrice and Malia; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service was held Friday, May 4, at St. Gertrude Church, Krakow, with the Rev. Rich Coerver officiating. Joan Marquart was the organist.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Memorials to the Missouri Department of Conservation, St. Gertrude Church or Masses are preferred.

The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
