Duane C. Behr, 85, Defiance, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Delmar Gardens, O'Fallon.|
Mr. Behr was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Minnesota state, the son of the late Andrew Behr and wife Clara.
He was employed as a field service representative before his retirement from McDonnell Douglas.
Mr. Behr is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Behr, Defiance; five sons, Mike Behr and wife Deb, Niceville, Fla., Vance Behr and wife Pam, Albuquerque, N.M., John Behr and wife Marcia, Augusta, Carl Behr and wife Jil, St. James, and Allan Behr and wife Michelle, Washington; three daughters, Doris Braddock and husband Paul, St. Charles, Ill., Carol Rolwes and husband Ken, Augusta, and Gayle Reece and husband Doug, Platte City; one brother, Luther Behr and wife Ann, Trafford, Pa.; one sister, Virginia Brewster and husband Tom, Albert Lea, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Clara Behr; one daughter, Nancy Kay Behr; and one granddaughter, Jennifer.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Defiance.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
