Jackie Lou Giddens, 70, St. Clair, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in St. Louis.|
Mrs. Giddens was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Vienna, Mo., the daughter of Marion and Reba Reeves.
On Dec. 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to Bob "Babe" Giddens in Vienna, Mo.
Mrs. Giddens owned and operated her own restaurant in Lemay for 15 years. For 10 years she worked as a waitress at Pizza Shack in St. Clair.
She loved keeping her yard nice and especially growing many types of flowers. Her cats always had a special place with her.
Mrs. Giddens was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Reba Reeves; three brothers, Eldon Reeves, John Reeves and Clete Reeves; one sister, Maxine Ryerson; and her step-father, Melvin Reeves.
She is survived by her husband, Bob "Babe" Giddens, St. Clair; two sons, Robert Giddens Jr. and wife Karen, Hermann, and John Giddens and fianceé Tina Stiffler, St. Clair; two daughters, Kim Gordon and husband Chuck and Chris Stevens and husband Ron, all of St. Clair; three sisters, Norma Jean Helton, Dixon, Betty Lou Siebert, Rolla, and Patty Blankenship, Hermann; three granddaughters, Sabannah Stevens, Chelsea Gordon and fiancé Brian Reger and Kelsey Giddens; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 27, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union, with Pastor Roger Altenberger officiating.
Interment was at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
