Dennis Joseph Flagg, 58, Union, passed away suddenly in Union Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.|
Dennis was born Jan. 3, 1954, in St. Louis, the son of the late Howard Flagg and wife Antoinette, nee Bracke.
He graduated from Lafayette High School, St. Louis County, in 1973. On Aug. 21, 1976, Dennis was united in marriage to Karen Grither and three sons were born to this marriage.
Dennis was retired from Concrete Laborers Union Local 110.
He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Flagg; one brother, Lawrence Flagg; and four sisters, Patricia Lippert, Nancy Dent, Madonna Greer and Antoinette McKenna.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Karen Flagg, Union; two sons, Jeremy Flagg and wife Heather, St. Louis, and Nathan Flagg and fiancee Cindy Duffer, Union; Josh Kandlbinder and wife Ann, who were like a son and daughter-in-law; three grandchildren, Dannika, Hadley and Makenna Flagg; five step-grandchildren, Lillian, Lucas and Mason Schwoeppe, Brookelynn Kandlbinder and Annabelle Beckmann; three brothers, Bill Flagg and Raymond Flagg, both of Eureka, and James Flagg; five sisters, Barbara Sunfield, New Haven, Mary Ann Eatherton, Texas state, Frances Eagon, Illinois state, Theresa Bunch, Colorado state, and Kay Shelton, Ballwin; many other relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Union.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Memorials to the Danny B. Flagg Memorial Scholarship Fund are preferred.
