Agnes Wilmesher, 87, Union, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Union.|
Agnes was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Leslie, the daughter of the late Adolph Helling and wife Amanda, nee Dingersen.
She was united in marriage to Victor Wilmesher April 25, 1942, at St. Jordan's Church, Jeffriesburg. The couple made their home in Jefferiesburg on the family farm. They later moved to Union.
Agnes was a homemaker and member of Zion United Church of Christ, Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Wilmesher; parents; three brothers, Elmer, Charles and Vernon Helling; and six sisters, Vera Hadley, Marie Zwilling, Gladine Laubinger, Doris Hadley, Lorraine Brayton and Leona Showman.
Agnes is survived by one son, Gary Wilmesher and wife Beverly, California, Mo.; two daughters, Barbara Danz and husband Robert, Union, and Judith Belter and husband Thomas, Georgetown, Texas; seven grandchildren, Nick Wilmesher, Mark and Cheryl Danz, Tracy and Randy Schuette, Michael and Karen Danz, Robert Danz, Jennifer and Victor Colon and Steven Belter; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Cecelia Helling, Beaufort, and Shirley Wilmesher, Union; one brother-in-law, Clarence Laubinger Sr., Leslie; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, Union, with the Rev. Mike Bone officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion United Church of Christ, Union, are preferred.
