Earl H. Eichmeyer Obituary
Earl Henry Eichmeyer, 87, Marthasville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Washington.

Earl was born to Hugo Eichmeyer and wife Emilia, nee Schnieder, Nov. 5, 1925, in Marthasville.

He was united in marriage to Bernice M. Riske June 4, 1950, in Washington. To this union was born two children, Dale and Donna. Bernice preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2009. They celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Earl was a truck driver for Phillip Transit Lines, Washington. He also was a custodian for the Washington School District since 1982. Earl served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Daniel Boone American Legion Post 180, both in Marthasville. Earl also was a member of the Elks Lodge 1559 and the V.F.W. Post 2661, both in Washington.

He is survived by one son, Dale Eichmeyer and wife, Kathy, Lebanon, Mo.; one daughter, Donna Gerke and husband Mark, Pilot Grove; one brother, Rueben Eichmeyer and wife Mabel, Marthasville; one sister, Emily Wildermuth and husband Larry, Maple Valley, Wash.; brother-in-law, Bill Diener, St. Louis; sister-in-law, Hazel Eichmeyer, Marthasville; five grandchildren, Christine Stevenson (Kevin), Nicole Watring (Tyler), Lauren Gerke (Spencer), Stephanie Eichmeyer and Greg Eichmeyer (Kayla); four great-grandchildren, Maddie, Arleigh and Lucas Watring and Cooper Eichmeyer; other relatives and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his loving wife; parents; one brother, Leroy; two sisters, Viola Mann and Virginia Eichmeyer; and sister-in-law, Jean Diener.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with private burial being held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ or to Cardinal Glennon Hospital, in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, MO 63383.
