Mary M. Eichholz, 91, O'Fallon, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. |
She was born May 6, 1921, the dear daughter of the late Joseph F. Borgerding and wife Emma.
Mary was the loving wife of Frederick W. Eichholz.
She is survived by her five children, Judith (John Jr.) Hooker, Steven Joseph (Jeanne) Eichholz, Donald Leo (Donna) Eichholz, Scott Anthony (Karen) Eichholz and Bethanne Marie (John) Schatz; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Joseph "Johnny" (Rusty) Borgerding, Lawrence "Larry" (Pat) Borgerding, Roman Borgerding and Elizabeth "Betty" (Don) Schulte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick W. Eichholz; parents; and seven siblings, Mary Isabel "Ibbie" Borgerding, Mary Antoinette "Toni" Jacobson, Gerald "Gerry" Borgerding, Rita Mae Borgerding, Cletus Borgerding, Theresa "Tessie" Ashlock and James Borgerding.
Mary was a lifetime member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, and a member of the Ladies Sodality and St. Barnabas Church Quilters. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed deeply.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 7, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood St., O'Fallon.
A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 1400 North Main St., O'Fallon.
Interment was in Assumption Church Cemetery.
