Hermina Diener, 91, Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 18, 2013.|
Mrs. Diener was born June 23, 1921, the daughter of John Elbert and wife Mary.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Diener Nov. 5, 1960, in St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Krakow.
Mrs. Diener is survived by three brothers, Clarence Elbert, Ralph Elbert and John J. Elbert and wife Verona, all of Washington; one sister, Rose Marquart, Washington; six nephews and nieces, David Elbert and wife Suson, Michael Elbert, all of Union, Robert Elbert, Kathy Metcalf and husband Tom, Joan Gildehaus and husband James, all of Washington, and Sherry Kloeppel and husband Ray, New Haven; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Diener; parents, John and Mary Elbert; parents-in-law, Albert and Tilly Diener; and one brother-in-law, Wilfred Marquart.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
A funeral Mass was held Monday, Jan. 21, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Washington, at 10 a.m.
Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Washington.
Memorials to St. Francis Borgia Grade School, St. Peter's Atrium Fund or Masses are preferred.
The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
