Paul Anthony Konys, 63, Union, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, in Fenton. |
Paul, son of the late John C. Konys and wife Opal, nee Dowil, was born Feb. 3, 1950, in Washington. He received his education at St Francis Borgia Grade School and was a 1968 graduate of St. Francis Borgia High School. He was united in marriage to Annette Embrey May 27, 1993, in Boonville. They made their home in Washington and recently moved to Union. Paul was an auto worker for Chrysler Corporation for many years and retired in 2009. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Opal Konys; two brothers, Kenny Konys and Jimmy Konys; and one daughter, Elizabeth Konys.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Konys, Union; three sons, Tony Konys, Gavin Konys and Daniel Konys, all of Union; three daughters, Lenetta Konys, New Haven, Kimberly Konys and Gretchen Konys, both of Union; two grandchildren, Dylann Konys and Samuel Kuhlmann, both of Union; two brothers, John E. Konys and wife Dolly, and Larry Konys, all of Washington; four sisters, Betty Sparling, Denver, Colo., Mary Ann Strus, Wanda Konys and Cathy Trentmann, all of Washington; one sister-in-law, Dee Dee Konys, Pacific; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, April 23, at St Francis Borgia Church, Washington, with the Rev. Andrew Sigmund officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
