Marilyn L. Remschner, nee Hase, 83, Warrenton, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 5, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.|
Marilyn was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Eureka, the daughter of Herbert Hase and wife Leona, nee Bueshcer. She was raised in Hopewell as a young girl, later moving to Warrenton where she graduated from high school in 1947.
On June 6, 1948, Marilyn married the love of her life, Arvel Remschner. They moved to St. Louis where she was employed at the Overland Medical Center for 34 years as a switchboard operator and medical records administrator.
Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a lifelong member of Freidens United Church of Christ, enjoyed playing cards, canning and spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn was a hard worker and will be remembered for her strength and determination.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 65 years, Arvel Remschner, Warrenton; one son, Daniel Remschner, Pendelton; one daughter, Debra (Scott) McKeown, Middleville, Mich.; four grandchildren, Dr. Brian (Amber) McKeown, Kyle (Alexandra) McKeown, Dr. Patrick (Kathleen) McKeown and Michael (Megan) McKeown, all of Middleville, Mich.; three great-granddaughters, Maggie, Riley and Clara; three sisters- in-law, Laverne Hase, Kathryn Shelton and Ruby Blake; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation is scheduled to be held Thursday, May 9, at Martin Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Freidens United Church of Christ, Warrenton.
Burial will follow at Warrenton City Cemetery.
