Gene Allen McFadden was born Nov. 17, 1940, to V.E. "Mac" and Allie Lasley McFadden in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Classen High School, class of 1959 and Central State College, class of 1965. He served in the US Army, stationed in Panama, 1966-1968. Gene worked for Montgomery Ward for 37 years and was the last person to fully retire before Wards closed the doors permanently. He married Jo Sharp McFadden in 1969 and they had one son, Jay V. McFadden, Miami, FL. After retirement he and Jo moved to their little bit of heaven in Glen Haven, CO. where they spent summers hosting family and friends on their deck, and in the winter traveled around taking care of their friend's homes and pets. Gene bought "stuff" in their travels and sold "antiques". Everything had to have a story. He is survived by Jo, Jay, stepson, John Randall and wife Susie, Eugene, OR, sister, Betty McFadden Candage, Groveland, MA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Bert Johnson, Eufaula, OK, nephews and nieces, John Sharp & family, Grove, OK, Brent Sharp & family, Olathe, KS, Chuck Johnson & family, Moore, OK Garrett Johnson, Atlanta, GA, Greg Candage & family, Bradford, MA., Allison Candage, New York, NY, and children-of-the-heart Chad Nicholas & family, Grain Valley, MO.
