Yeta Flatow, of Estes Park, passed away May 22, at the age of 96, while visiting family in Israel. She was buried in Jerusalem.|
Yeta was born in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Rebecca and Julius Stein. After graduating from The University of Texas she married Tobias Flatow. They lived in Houston, TX until his death in 1966. Their son, Marc Flatow, died in a helicopter crash in 1981.
Yeta was a lifetime member of ORT and served as president of the Houston chapter. She had lifelong involvement in real estate.
She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Tobi (Itsik) Ranel of Ramat Efal, Israel, and Shirly Niemi of Bellevue, Washington; and by her two sisters, Bess Brown of Denver, and Anne Flatow of Ft. Worth, TX.
She had 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
