Donald H. Tebow Obituary
Donald H. Tebow, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 91. He was born August 22, 1923 in Fort Morgan, CO to John Donald and Esther (Pfeiffer) Tebow.

At age 9, he moved with his family to a home in Boulder Canyon above Boulder, CO. He attended Boulder schools, graduating from Boulder High School in 1942.

On January 16, 1943, he married June Ferril in Boulder.

Don joined the U.S. Navy Seabees in August of 1943. In April 1944, he was shipped out to England and served in the European Theater of Operations, including participation in D-Day on June 6, 1944. He returned to the U.S. in November of 1945, was discharged on December 24, 1945. Don and June made Longmont their home.

Don worked in construction, real estate and development where he helped develop, with partners, several subdivisions in Longmont, Johnstown and Loveland. Don and June moved to Estes Park in 1988 where they co-owned and managed Aspen Grove Cottages for 23 years. He was also involved in volunteering and was instrumental in getting the Estes Park Senior Center built, where he was voted in as a life Board Member. He also was a member of the Estes Park Police Auxiliary. They returned to Longmont in 2006.

Don was a member of First United Methodist Church, a life member of VFW Post 2601 and belonged to the American Legion Post 32, all in Longmont. He was involved in Boy Scouts when his son Don was in Scouting.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Tebow.

Don is survived by his wife of nearly 72 years, June, son Donald Lynn Tebow (partner Anne) of Longmont, daughter Kandis Kay Parsons (Dave) of Longmont, grandson Ross Alexander of Columbia, South America, granddaughters Michelle Tebow of Littleton and Nicole Tebow (Rob) of Westminster, sister-in-law Joyce Tebow, great-grandchildren Jonathan, Alexandra and Victoria, brother Dean Tebow (Barbara) of Edmonds, WA along with several nephews and one niece.

Graveside services will be held 1:15pm, Thursday December 18, 2014 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Shelter C, in Denver. Memorial contributions can be made to Compassionate Hospice and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
